working instantly when interacting with any form of moisture. You need to make
sure the surface is completely dry.

Up to 48 hours. This gives Arctic Armor™ enough time to dry and form its protective barrier before snow or ice arrives. Applying the evening before an overnight storm works perfectly.

Yes. Arctic Armor™ uses a non-toxic formula with no harsh chlorides that irritate paws or get tracked into your home. It's significantly gentler than rock salt, which is a common cause of paw irritation and chemical burns in winter.

Dry pavement is ideal. We do not recommend applying ahead of any wet precipitation. For pre-treat, you should never apply to a wet or damp surface. The product starts working instantly when interacting with any form of moisture.

Yes — when applied proactively before a freeze, Arctic Armor™ prevents black ice from forming in the first place by stopping ice from bonding to the surface. If black ice has already formed, applying Arctic Armor™ will break the bond and accelerate melting, though a light scrape may still help on thicker ice.

Liquid calcium chloride is effective in extreme cold but is highly corrosive to concrete, metal, and vegetation, and can irritate pets' paws. Arctic Armor™ is formulated to deliver similar cold-weather performance (down to -25°F) while being 55% less corrosive and safe for pets, plants, and surfaces.
